Faculty and Students from Lac Hong University's Artificial Intelligence Program Join Academic Exchange, Networking, and AI Project Promotion in Singap

As part of an international learning and networking initiative in Singapore, a delegation of faculty members and students from the Artificial Intelligence (AI) program, Faculty of Information Technology, Lac Hong University, had the opportunity to visit, engage in academic exchanges, and present applied AI research projects to experts from Singapore Management University (SMU).

During the visit, the delegation discussed emerging technology trends, real-world AI applications, and shared notable research outcomes achieved by AI students. This activity contributed to strengthening international academic exchanges while unlocking valuable opportunities for cooperation in technology education and research.

Alongside academic activities, the delegation participated in a practical training program tailored for startups. Members gained in-depth insights into fundraising mechanisms during a session led by Mr. Leng, followed by a presentation by Mr. Ben on the journey of building an enterprise from early-stage startup to Initial Public Offering (IPO). These practical experiences provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the global innovation ecosystem, entrepreneurship, and the commercialization of technology products.

Notably, the project "AI-Powered Braille E-Reader for the Visually Impaired"—which won First Prize at the APEC Innovation competition—participated in investment promotion and networking sessions in Singapore. The project team directly pitched their concept and product development model to international enterprises, investors, and startup support funds, showcasing the research and innovation capabilities of Lac Hong University’s faculty and students to the global community.

During the trip, the delegation also toured the One-North tech hub—Singapore’s premier innovation district, home to numerous global tech companies and startups. Additionally, they explored smart city planning models at the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Centre, gaining hands-on exposure to how technology is applied to urban development and improving the quality of life.

The program not only provided an enriching international learning experience but also affirmed the training quality of the Artificial Intelligence program at the Faculty of Information Technology, Lac Hong University. It serves as an inspiration for faculty and students to pursue impactful research, develop practical technological solutions for community challenges, and foster international integration.

The Faculty of Information Technology warmly congratulates Lecturer Bui Xuan Canh and student Bui Binh Minh on successfully completing this academic exchange, networking, and project promotion program in Singapore, continuing to highlight the dynamic and innovative spirit of Lac Hong University on the international stage.
