Also known as Mini F1, Lac Hong Go Kart is a new and exciting high-speed sport highly favored by young enthusiasts. Many organizations have organized and produced Go Kart vehicles for racing. However, when it comes to organizing students to build their own Go Kart for racing, Lac Hong University has been a pioneering institution.
In the first season held in April 2022, 16 teams from the Automotive Engineering Department participated. After technical, speed, and safety tests, the teams officially competed on the 2K race track. Team LH - CAPTAIN emerged as the champion with a time of 4.05 minutes and an average speed of 71km/h over a 1,200-meter race distance.

The "Lac Hong - Go Kart" racing event is a highly beneficial playground for students majoring in Automotive Engineering and all engineering students passionate about speed and fabrication. Here, students hone their skills, develop teamwork spirit, enhance safe driving skills, and motivate themselves to excel in their specialized subjects.

The second season of LH - Go Kart in 2023 will be held at the Dai Nam Racing Track, designed and built according to safety standards from FIM. The track spans 2.2 km, featuring various left and right turns divided into sections such as acceleration, hairpins, and curves. The track surface is constructed using polymer asphalt technology from France, allowing immediate rainwater drainage to increase safety for racers and ensure uninterrupted races regardless of the weather. This promises to provide teams with thrilling racing experiences and entertain speed enthusiasts.
"Young enthusiasts of technology and speed," the Automotive Engineering Department is eagerly awaiting your enrollment in the next season's competition teams.
